India, Paraguay agree to strengthen ties in clean energy, green hydrogen and biofuels sectors

 

 ભારત અને પેરાગ્વે સ્વચ્છ ઉર્જા, ગ્રીન હાઇડ્રોજન અને બાયોફ્યુઅલ ક્ષેત્રોમાં સંબંધો મજબૂત કરવા સંમત થયા

ભારત અને પેરાગ્વેએ સ્વચ્છ ઉર્જા, ગ્રીન હાઇડ્રોજન અને બાયોફ્યુઅલ જેવા ક્ષેત્રોમાં તેમના સંબંધોને વધુ મજબૂત બનાવવાનો નિર્ણય લીધો છે. આજે નવી દિલ્હીમાં પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદી અને પેરાગ્વેના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ સેન્ટિયાગો પેના પેલાસિઓસ વચ્ચે યોજાયેલી પ્રતિનિધિમંડળ-સ્તરની વાતચીત દરમિયાન આ નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો. બંને દેશોએ સાયબર ક્રાઇમ, સંગઠિત ગુના, ડ્રગ હેરફેરના ભયને દૂર કરવા માટે તેમની પ્રતિબદ્ધતા પણ વ્યક્ત કરી.
આ પ્રસંગે બોલતા, પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ કહ્યું કે, ભારત અને પેરાગ્વે આતંકવાદ સામેની લડાઈમાં સાથે છે. શ્રી મોદીએ કહ્યું કે, બંને દેશો પાસે ડિજિટલ ટેકનોલોજી, કૃષિ, સંરક્ષણ, રેલ્વે, અવકાશ સહિતના ક્ષેત્રોમાં ઘણા સંભવિત માર્ગો છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે, પેરાગ્વે દક્ષિણ અમેરિકામાં એક મૂલ્યવાન ભાગીદાર છે અને બંને રાષ્ટ્રો સહિયારા મૂલ્યો દ્વારા જોડાયેલા છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે, વેપાર જોડાણોને વધારવામાં અપાર સંભાવનાઓ છે.
અગાઉ, વિદેશ મંત્રી ડૉ. એસ. જયશંકર પણ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ પેલાસિઓસને મળ્યા હતા અને ભારત-પેરાગ્વે સહયોગ વધારવા માટે તેમની સકારાત્મક લાગણીઓ અને માર્ગદર્શનની પ્રશંસા કરી હતી. બંને દેશો વચ્ચે સંયુક્ત કમિશન મિકેનિઝમની સ્થાપના માટે ભારત અને પેરાગ્વે વચ્ચે સમજૂતી કરાર પર હસ્તાક્ષર કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા.

શ્રી પેલાસિઓસ ભારતની ત્રણ દિવસની રાજ્ય મુલાકાતે છે. રાષ્ટ્રપતિએ રાજઘાટની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી અને મહાત્મા ગાંધીને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપી હતી. તેઓ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ દ્રૌપદી મુર્મુ અને ઉપરાષ્ટ્રપતિ જગદીપ ધનકરને પણ મળવાના છે.

રાષ્ટ્રપતિ પેના બુધવારે પેરાગ્વે પરત ફરતા પહેલા મુંબઈની પણ મુલાકાત લેશે. મુંબઈમાં, રાષ્ટ્રપતિ પેના રાજ્યના રાજકીય નેતાઓ, વ્યવસાય અને ઉદ્યોગના પ્રતિનિધિઓ અને ટેક નેતાઓને મળશે. ભારત અને પેરાગ્વેએ 1961 માં રાજદ્વારી સંબંધો સ્થાપિત કર્યા હતા, જેનાથી દાયકાઓથી બંને દેશો વચ્ચે ગરમ અને મૈત્રીપૂર્ણ સંબંધો સ્થાપિત થયા હતા. બંને દેશોએ વેપાર, કૃષિ, આરોગ્ય, ફાર્માસ્યુટિકલ્સ અને માહિતી ટેકનોલોજી સહિત વિવિધ ક્ષેત્રોમાં સહયોગ વિકસાવ્યો છે. લેટિન અમેરિકન ક્ષેત્રમાં પેરાગ્વે ભારત માટે એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ વેપાર ભાગીદાર છે. ઓટો-મોબાઇલ અને ફાર્માસ્યુટિકલ્સ ક્ષેત્રે ઘણી ભારતીય કંપનીઓ પેરાગ્વેમાં હાજરી ધરાવે છે. પેરાગ્વેની કંપનીઓ પણ ભારતમાં હાજરી ધરાવે છે, જે બંને દેશો વચ્ચેના આર્થિક સંબંધોમાં ફાળો આપે છે. બંને દેશો સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્ર સુધારા, આબોહવા પરિવર્તન, નવીનીકરણીય ઉર્જા અને આતંકવાદ સામે લડવા સહિતના વિવિધ આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય મુદ્દાઓ પર સમાન મંતવ્યો ધરાવે છે.

 

  India and Paraguay have decided to further strengthen their ties in sectors like clean energy, green hydrogen and biofuels. The decision was taken during the delegation-level talk held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Paraguay President Santiago Peña Palacios in New Delhi today. Both countries also expressed their commitment to overcoming the menace of cybercrime, organised crime, drug trafficking.

Speaking on this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, India and Paraguay are together in the fight against terrorism. Mr. Modi said, both the countries have lots of potential avenues in the sectors including digital technology, agriculture, defence, railways, space among others. He said, Paraguay is a valued partner in South America and both the nations are connected by shared values. He said, there is immense potential in boosting trade linkages. 

Earlier, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar also met President Palacios and appreciated his positive sentiments and guidance for enhancing India-Paraguay cooperation in many domains. An Memorundum of Understanding was signed between India and Paraguay for establishment of Joint Commission Mechanism between the two nations. 

Mr. Palacios is on a three day state visit to India. The President visited Rajghat and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi. He is also scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu, and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar. 

President Peña will also visit Mumbai, before returning to Paraguay on Wednesday. In Mumbai, President Peña will meet the state political leaders, representatives from business and industry, and tech leaders. India and Paraguay established diplomatic relations in 1961, fostering warm and friendly ties between the two nations over the decades. The two countries have developed cooperation in various sectors, including trade, agriculture, health, pharmaceuticals and information technology. Paraguay is an important trading partner for India in the Latin American region. Several Indian companies in the auto-mobile and pharmaceuticals sector have their presence in Paraguay. Paraguayan companies also have their presence in India, contributing to the economic ties between the two nations. The two countries share common views on various international issues, including UN reforms, climate change, renewable energy, and combating terrorism.
